About the role

Responsibilities

  • Define QA strategy, test approach, scope, and quality standards for projects/releases. Create and oversee test plans, test cases, regression suites, and traceability matrices. Identify risks and dependencies and ensure quality gates are met across SDLC. Lead an onshore QA team and collaborate closely with offshore QA resources. Assign tasks, manage workload, and provide mentorship and technical guidance. Participate in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, refinement, standups, and retrospectives). Drive execution of functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing. Manage defect lifecycle, ensuring timely root-cause analysis and closure. Perform hands-on testing when required, including API and database validation. Ensure compliance with documentation, audit, and regulatory standards. Work with automation engineers to enhance automation frameworks and coverage. Promote quality engineering best practices, including shift-left testing and CI/CD quality controls. Identify gaps in processes and propose improvements for efficiency and quality.
