About the role

  • Senior Project Director overseeing digital health portfolio for government healthcare. Hybrid role in Edmonton, open to Canadian contractors with executive-level strategic oversight.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting to executive leadership, the Senior Project Director will oversee an integrated portfolio of eHealth initiatives, ensuring strong governance, risk management, stakeholder alignment, and program execution. You will collaborate closely with key provincial partners including Health Services Medical Association, College of Physicians and Surgeons, public health teams, shared services organizations, clinical groups, vendors, and cross-stakeholders. Key responsibilities include portfolio and program leadership across major eHealth initiatives (CII/CPAR, Electronic Referral Solution, Provincial EMR Strategy & Integration, EHR Viewer/Clinical Document Repository Modernization), strategic development and analysis, vendor and contract management, stakeholder engagement, and governance and executive reporting.

Requirements

  • 10+ years leading large-scale healthcare or public-sector digital transformation programs. Extensive experience managing complex, multi-vendor environments. Deep understanding of EMR/EHR ecosystems, interoperability standards, and clinical workflows. Executive-level communication and stakeholder leadership skills. Experience within Canadian provincial healthcare systems.
