About the role
- Senior Systems Administrator/Operations Support Specialist for mainframe operations. Requires 10+ years experience in batch processing, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and ITIL processes.
Responsibilities
- Lead batch processing, file transfers & overnight transactional processing. Coordinate development, testing & implementation of JCL & reporting tools. Analyze, troubleshoot & resolve batch incidents (Root Cause Analysis). Maintain & update operational procedures & documentation. Lead change & release implementations. Provide training & technical guidance to internal teams. Participate in on-call support for production operations.
Requirements
- 10+ years experience supporting mainframe batch processing. Proven experience in large, complex enterprise environments. Strong expertise in JCL, TSO/ISPF, SFTP, FTP, IND$, dataset structures. Experience monitoring email input queues & transactional confirmations. Advanced knowledge of reporting tools & MS Office Suite. Experience with application recovery procedures & overnight batch processing. Strong understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Change & Release). Ability to provide technical leadership & client advisory support. Experience supporting mission-critical, public-facing applications.
