About the role

  • Sr. Linux Administrator needed to manage Linux environments and lead a Siebel upgrade and Windows-to-Linux migration for a top financial client.

Responsibilities

  • This position involves managing and supporting Linux environments, ensuring seamless migration and operational stability for a key project involving a Siebel upgrade and migration from Windows to Linux. Responsibilities include troubleshooting Linux system issues, performing installation/configuration/maintenance, developing documentation, coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing IBM MQ systems, creating shell scripts, supporting high availability and clustering solutions, assisting in migration, and providing technical leadership.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of hands-on Linux administration experience; expertise in Linux security, networking, clustering, and high availability; strong knowledge of IBM MQ administration; proficiency in shell scripting; ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently; excellent documentation and coordination skills. Nice to have: Siebel installation/administration experience, prior experience in a financial institution (especially BMO), experience supporting enterprise-wide migration projects, familiarity with IT project teams and lifecycle management.
