About the role
- Talend Developer contract in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). Design and develop ETL/ELT jobs, build data pipelines, and ensure data quality and governance.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop Talend ETL/ELT jobs using Talend Studio. Build data pipelines for batch and near-real-time processing. Develop integrations across databases, files, APIs, and messaging systems. Handle data extraction, transformation, validation, and loading (ETL). Implement data quality rules, validations, and exception handling. Ensure compliance with data governance, security, and privacy standards. Optimize jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability. Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve Talend job failures. Perform root-cause analysis and proactive performance tuning. Support deployments across Dev/QA/UAT/Prod environments. Work closely with business analysts and data architects to translate requirements. Create technical design documents and operational runbooks. Participate in code reviews and follow best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience with valid Canadian visa. Primary Skills: ETL/ELT jobs, Talend Studio, building pipelines.
