About the role
- Tester – API & Data Validation (Banking) needed for a top financial client. Execute API and data validation testing in Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Execute API testing (functional and integration) to validate system behavior and data flow. Perform data validation using SQL, including extracting and verifying data from Databricks environments. Validate batch processing systems, including file extracts and data consistency checks. Review and analyze application and system logs (e.g., OCP logs) to identify defects and troubleshoot issues. Execute both manual and automated test cases (scripts will be pre-developed). Develop and maintain test cases and test scenarios based on business requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an Agile environment to ensure quality standards. Track defects, verify fixes, and support overall QA lifecycle activities.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Testing within the banking industry. Strong expertise in API testing, including REST services and integrations. Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis. Experience working with batch systems and file-based data processing. Solid understanding of banking domain processes and workflows. Hands-on experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong experience with ETL processes. Ability to execute test scripts and analyze outcomes independently. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
