About the role
- Learning design manager building scenario-based leadership, professional, and AI capability programs at cybersecurity company 1Password. Creating scalable learning frameworks and measuring business impact.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop applied learning solutions based on identified capability needs using real business scenarios and workflows
- Partner with functional enablement leads, subject matter experts, and cross-functional stakeholders to integrate learning into existing programs and team practices
- Lead the design and development of leadership capability programs for front-line, mid-level, and senior leaders
- Facilitate selected leadership program sessions as needed
- Create learning experiences that help employees use AI thoughtfully and effectively, emphasizing judgment, critical thinking, responsible application, and outcome evaluation
- Develop reusable frameworks, practices, measurement approaches, and resources to strengthen learning delivery and effectiveness
- Build evaluation into each solution
- Use learner and stakeholder feedback to improve programs
- Maintain learning materials so they remain current and relevant
- Report to the Manager of Enterprise Learning & Development
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in instructional design, learning design, or a related learning and development role
- Experience translating capability needs into practical learning solutions
- Experience designing scenario-based learning grounded in real business workflows and focused on behavior change
- Ability to identify patterns across stakeholder needs and create reusable frameworks, content, and scalable learning experiences
- Experience embedding measurement and evaluation into learning solutions and connecting learning outcomes to business impact
- Working knowledge of instructional design methods such as ADDIE, Design Thinking, backward design, or comparable approaches
- Strong project management, facilitation, communication, and independent decision-making skills
- Ability to turn ambiguous needs into clear solutions and manage multiple priorities
- Experience building workplace AI capability, designing leadership programs across multiple leadership levels, or using emerging learning technologies and AI-enabled tools
- Must already live in and be legally authorized to work in the United States or Canada; 1Password does not offer work authorization, relocation assistance, sponsorship, or visa transfers
