About the role
- Global Category Manager shaping ABB Analytical's EMS/PCBA sourcing strategy and supply chain. Leading supplier strategy, negotiations, cost optimization, and global stakeholder alignment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement the global EMS/PCBA category strategy for ABB's Analytical Business Line
- Consolidate the global strategy and supply base with factories across local, regional, and global teams
- Lead sourcing strategies using the CIPS process
- Ensure the supply base has the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements
- Negotiate supplier agreements, renew price lists, and manage terms and conditions
- Manage procurement planning, budgets, savings forecasts, and cost-out programs
- Identify, investigate, and select suppliers based on quality, delivery, cost, and sustainability
- Provide ongoing supplier contract management and oversight
- Ensure stakeholders execute the strategy and achieve category sourcing performance targets
Requirements
- Proven experience in strategic sourcing and category management
- Experience ideally within EMS/PCBA or electronics manufacturing
- Track record of building and executing global strategies
- Strong stakeholder management skills
- Negotiation and supplier relationship management experience
- Data-driven approach to analysis and reporting
- Ability to collaborate with factories, local teams, and global leadership
