Onsite operational leader for offshore wind turbine service activities at Empire Wind project. Provides supervision and ensures compliance with safety and operational requirements while maintaining turbine performance.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the SOV Shift Manager, the Offshore Shift Supervisor is the on-site operational leader for offshore wind turbine service activities
This role provides direct supervision of offshore technicians servicing and maintaining the V236 turbine fleet and holds day-to-day responsibility for safe work execution
Ensure offshore operations are planned, controlled, and executed in compliance with safety requirements, customer expectations, and company standards
Act as the primary offshore operational interface between the customer, SOV crew, site leadership, and field technicians during active shifts
Monitor weather forecasts continuously and assess operational impacts on transfers, turbine access, and task execution
Organize and coordinate vessel and O&M crew transfers, ensuring personnel safety, logistical readiness, and regulatory compliance
Requirements
Electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic experience with a strong desire to further develop skills in these fields
Must have completed TBC 300 Core & Specific tasks on any platform or be recognized as an A-Level Technician
Must be nominated as an AT-LT, or have a reasonable path to achieving AT-LT status within 6 months of hire
Minimum 5 years of experience working in a commercial–industrial mechanical or electrical environment, preferably with wind turbines
Strong understanding of VOB SCADA operations and Toolkit
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams) and IT tools (smartphones, computers, etc.)
Valid driver’s license, ability to obtain a passport, and willingness to travel.
