About the role
- Project Manager overseeing delivery of strategic initiatives for infrastructure development at Aecon. Leading project teams and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives in a 12-month contract role.
Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring execution within defined scope, schedule, and budget.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource forecasts, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Monitor project progress, manage scope changes, and address risks and issues through structured governance and escalation processes.
- Prepare and deliver regular status updates, steering committee briefings, and executive reporting.
- Partner with executive leaders, business units, and technical teams to drive alignment and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Coordinate with vendors and external partners to support project objectives.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and support to project team members to enable effective delivery.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization to promote a collaborative, customer‑focused environment.
- Translate business objectives into actionable workstreams that align technology solutions with operational needs.
- Lead development and execution of communication, training, and change management plans.
- Assess training needs, coordinate delivery, and support development of user documentation and job aids.
- Support the adoption of project delivery best practices, including Agile, Scrum, and product‑centric methodologies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 years of project management or project supervisory experience.
- Demonstrated success delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.
- Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience with Agile methodologies; Scrum Master certification with 3–4 years of experience required.
- Working knowledge of PMP practices, SAP, and Business Warehouse (BW).
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Proven ability to build trust, influence key stakeholders, and navigate complex organizational environments.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams.
