About the role

  • Project Manager overseeing delivery of strategic initiatives for infrastructure development at Aecon. Leading project teams and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives in a 12-month contract role.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end‑to‑end delivery of assigned projects, ensuring execution within defined scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, resource forecasts, budgets, and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Monitor project progress, manage scope changes, and address risks and issues through structured governance and escalation processes.
  • Prepare and deliver regular status updates, steering committee briefings, and executive reporting.
  • Partner with executive leaders, business units, and technical teams to drive alignment and deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Coordinate with vendors and external partners to support project objectives.
  • Provide guidance, coaching, and support to project team members to enable effective delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the organization to promote a collaborative, customer‑focused environment.
  • Translate business objectives into actionable workstreams that align technology solutions with operational needs.
  • Lead development and execution of communication, training, and change management plans.
  • Assess training needs, coordinate delivery, and support development of user documentation and job aids.
  • Support the adoption of project delivery best practices, including Agile, Scrum, and product‑centric methodologies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of project management or project supervisory experience.
  • Demonstrated success delivering complex initiatives on time and within budget.
  • Strong communication, organizational, leadership, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies; Scrum Master certification with 3–4 years of experience required.
  • Working knowledge of PMP practices, SAP, and Business Warehouse (BW).
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • Proven ability to build trust, influence key stakeholders, and navigate complex organizational environments.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work effectively within cross‑functional teams.
