About the role
- Senior Product Designer focused on the evolution of AgencyAnalytics design system using AI. Collaborating cross-functionally to streamline processes and enhance user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership over the maintenance and evolution of the AgencyAnalytics design system (DS).
- Collaborate with the Staff FE Engineer, other designers and developers, and other stakeholders for effective development and implementation.
- Align the design system with design and product development objectives.
- Work within technical constraints and help to streamline design efforts across teams.
- Enable the use of AI in DS maintenance and evolution, fostering consistent, high-quality user experiences.
- Maintain and Evolve the Design System, ensuring it reflects design language and principles.
- Structure and optimize the design system with a deep understanding of FE development framework and component library.
- Partner with design team, front-end developers, and App Platform Team to align on component needs and implementation best practices.
- Spend 80% of your time improving the component library, reinforcing AI systems, workflows, and documentation.
- Spend 20% of your time focusing on long-term strategy for the design system and governance suggestions.
- Develop documentation for the design system, providing clear guidelines for its use across teams.
- Train and mentor other designers and engineers on the design system.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in product design, with a strong focus on design systems and front-end development collaboration.
- Hands-on experience configuring, implementing, and using AI in service of DS evolution. Experience facilitating others’ use of AI through integration between our DS and AI tools (such as Claude, v0, and Figma Make).
- Conversant in FE code development frameworks (particularly Tailwind). Worked with off-the-shelf libraries like ShadCN, and maintained parity as bespoke components evolved.
- Familiarity with front-end development processes and constraints (e.g., CSS, flexbox, spacing, padding/margin), ensuring seamless collaboration with developers.
- A strong understanding of common patterns, best practices, and trade-offs in interaction design and UI design, to ensure that our design language and DS deliver exceptional user experience through excellent usability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate complex ideas to diverse stakeholders and lead training sessions for team members.
- Proven experience leading or heavily contributing to the evolution of design systems in a fast-paced, product-driven environment.
- Strong ability to think in systems and develop scalable solutions that balance business goals with user needs.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working closely with engineers and other designers.
- Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to take ownership of large projects and deliver impactful results.
- Keen attention to design details and a passion for crafting polished, user-friendly interfaces.
- Advanced knowledge of Figma, Claude, v0, Figma Make, CLI (e.g. Terminal), design MCP servers, and Storybook.
