About the role
- Field Service Engineer supporting customers through on-site activities and resolving product issues for chemical instrumentation products. Collaborating with various teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- responsible for supporting customers through on-site activities such as installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company and multi-vendor chemical instrumentation products
- Installs and optimizes hardware and software
- Diagnoses and resolves product performance problems
- Performs maintenance and repair services
- Ensures customer satisfaction by advising customers on preventive maintenance
- Proactively responds to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers' business
- Delivers fully integrated solutions, which may include peripherals and applications
- Serves as an internal resource on technical issues and manages product escalations
- Collaborates with Agilent teams such as Support, Sales, Marketing and R&D to provide solutions to customers.
Requirements
- Post Secondary Degree within the science field – e.g. chemistry, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology or similar or relevant work experience
- 4+ years’ experience with ICPOES, ICPMS, AA or in a similar position or experience as an end user
- Experience in chemical laboratories in the spectroscopy industries
- Experience with troubleshooting and problem-solving
- Experience with Agilent solutions is desired but not essential
- Verbal and written communication is clear, respectful, and timely
- You enjoy travelling and visiting customers.
