About the role
- Commercial lines insurance service representative supporting Ostic Group brokerages. Managing policy administration, certificates, documentation, invoicing, and broker support.
Responsibilities
- Provide back-end and processing support to the commercial lines team
- Handle non-client-facing policy administration functions
- Develop comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the EPIC Broker Management System
- Issue Certificates of Insurance
- Review policy documents for accuracy, including renewals, endorsements, and payment plans
- Enter assigned new business in carrier portals
- Invoice and prepare finance contracts
- Follow up with clients, brokers, and insurance company partners regarding outstanding payments, missing documentation, and required information
- Support Account Managers with driver approvals, including Letters of Experience and Motor Vehicle Records
- Organize documents, attach them to files, and label them
- Perform data entry and prepare applications
- Facilitate client file or broker management clean-up projects
- Assist in pulling or reviewing reports
- Provide additional support to the broker team, including letters and pink slips
- Attend Commercial Lines team meetings and functions
- Stay informed about carrier offerings, product updates, and procedural changes
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Previous experience working in an office administration role
- Previous experience working in a brokerage supporting commercial lines brokers
- RIBO licensed or willing to obtain it is an asset
- Prior working experience with Applied Epic (BMS) is an asset
