About the role
- Territory Representative delivering Ecolab cleaning, sanitation, and food safety programs to Quick Service Restaurants. Managing Vancouver Island customers, equipment installations, training, audits, and sales growth.
Responsibilities
- Deliver Ecolab's cleaning and sanitation programs to Quick Service Restaurant customers
- Identify food safety risks and help prevent the spread of foodborne illnesses
- Manage a territory of customers and grow sales through service excellence and new product introductions
- Install and maintain ware wash machines, water filtration systems, 3-compartment sinks, and mop sinks
- Maintain equipment and collateral to ensure proper function and appearance
- Complete site surveys and recommend improvements
- Complete required Ecolab QSR visit reports according to mandated visit frequency
- Facilitate sales of Ecolab products through recommendations for improvements and new innovations
- Train customers on Ecolab products and services
- Maintain positive customer relationships by evaluating needs and identifying sales opportunities
- Provide rotating weekend coverage once every 13 weeks based on customer needs
- Travel throughout Vancouver Island, Powell River, Port Hardy, and surrounding areas
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
- Availability to provide emergency call assistance at night, on weekends, and over holidays
- Ability to travel to the US for training/meetings
- No Immigration Sponsorship available for this position
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds regularly
- Driving to client locations
- Working in confined spaces, damp/dusty areas, and extreme temperatures
- Climbing ladders and performing physical tasks such as stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and standing for extended periods
- 1-2 years of food industry experience preferred
- Mechanical experience (plumbing, electrical) and experience troubleshooting and repairing equipment preferred
- Food safety knowledge/experience or CP-FS certification preferred
- Previous business-to-business sales experience preferred
- Post Secondary Degree or Diploma preferred
