About the role

  • BMO Investment Operations representative supporting transaction processing, reporting, and stakeholder service. Executing controlled workflows and resolving issues remotely for Ontario-based operations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support and service for BMO’s Investment Operations function and business stakeholders/customers
  • Execute Investment product and service processes in accordance with financial and regulatory controls and operational guidelines
  • Gather and format data into regular and ad-hoc reports and dashboards
  • Support change management execution and sustainment activities
  • Serve as a problem-solving resource for more junior staff
  • Organize work information to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Execute service requests, transactions, queries, and other routine tasks within SLAs
  • Process transactions, activities, and services accurately and timely in response to stakeholder requests
  • Respond accurately and knowledgeably to internal and external stakeholder questions and requests
  • Follow documented policies and procedures to meet SLAs
  • Check and reconcile information and documentation
  • Analyze data and information to provide insights and recommendations
  • Identify, analyze, resolve, or escalate issues and problems
  • Communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships
  • Maintain understanding of regulatory requirements and operational risks
  • Collaborate on development and implementation of new processes/systems and improvements
  • Support development of tools and delivery of training
  • Complete complex and diverse tasks and handle escalations
  • Apply BMO’s Risk Management Framework and make risk-informed decisions aligned with business strategy and applicable policies, laws, and regulations

Requirements

  • Typically 1–3 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study desirable or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge and experience using relevant systems and technology – Good
  • Knowledge and understanding of the business unit’s key products and services, processes and controls – Good
  • Knowledge of the risk and regulatory requirements of the business – Good
  • Prioritization skills – Good
  • Customer service skills – Good
  • PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) – Good
