About the role
- Field Service Representative installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Caterpillar turbomachinery and package systems. Performing preventive maintenance, repairs, inspections, and commissioning at customer locations.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment at customer locations using tools, parts, and technical diagrams
- Perform on-site preventive maintenance and inspection services
- Provide callout services and commissioning activities on turbomachinery and package systems
- Use test equipment, schematics, and manufacturers' specifications to diagnose malfunctions
- Use hand tools, gauges, instruments, and digital tools to analyze, repair, or replace faulty parts
- Check for common causes of trouble; clean and lubricate equipment as needed
- Perform routine installations and adjust equipment within normal procedures
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent experience desired
- Knowledge of customer service concepts and techniques
- Ability to meet or exceed customer needs and expectations

- Knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational, or process problems

- Knowledge of mechanical equipment and preventive maintenance in oil and gas environments
- Ability to repair or replace faulty mechanical parts used in exploration, production, or refining of hydrocarbons
- Knowledge of safety procedures, practices, considerations, and regulatory requirements in oil and gas environments
- Ability to identify and respond to work-related hazards
- Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC)
- Ability to design, implement, and operate automated process controls
- Knowledge of troubleshooting approaches, tools, and techniques
