Responsibilities
Responsible for championing digital transformation and representing the Ministry within a product team.
Responsible for overall product strategy, ministry stakeholders, long-term vision for the product, and ministry processes and procedures to meet the business needs.
Coordinates between the product team and program area staff to deliver technology solutions that enable cross-sector collaboration in strategic initiatives.
Supports the implementation of new legislation and other priority projects through new digital services.
Conducts user-centric research to improve client and employee experiences and makes recommendations to senior leadership.
Champions agile and digital methodologies, provides status reports, monitors product progress metrics, and leads product demonstrations to various stakeholders.
Leads internal stakeholder engagement to gather input for collaborative projects and corporate processes.
Requirements
A University degree in a related field (e.g. Commerce, Business, Public Administration, Economics, Political Science, Statistics, Technology) plus 4 years progressively related experience.
Supporting digital delivery of services in either the public or private sector.
Agile Scrum methodologies, including process mapping, organizational analysis, benefits and risk management.
Equivalencies may be considered: Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of 1 year of education for 1 year of experience, or 1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
The following will be considered assets: Knowledge of mental health and addiction service legislation and regulations.
Experience working in health care or social services.
Project Management skills.
Experience managing through influence (this position has no direct reports but will be required to lead teams).
