About the role
- Service Technician repairing and upgrading automated pedestrian doors for ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems. Diagnosing electro-mechanical systems and serving customers across Mississauga.
Responsibilities
- Perform planned maintenance, break-fix repair, and upgrades of automated pedestrian doors at customer locations
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuits, and relay logic
- Work with aluminum frames, glazing materials, hardware, and low-voltage wiring
- Maintain professional communication with customers, end-users, and contractors
- Provide exceptional service at every interaction
- Participate in training programs
- Maintain AAADM certification
- Participate in on-call rotations after certification and training
Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in repairing electro-mechanical devices
- Knowledge of basic electrical circuits and low-voltage (120v) wiring
- Experience in glazing, storefronts, aluminum frames, and hardware (preferred)
- Valid driver’s license and a good driving record
- High commitment to safety, customer satisfaction, and teamwork
- Ability to lift, bend, and use power tools effectively
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, positioning, and installing door components weighing up to 110 pounds with lifting aids, on an occasional basis, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to climb ladders, kneel, drive, and work in various positions as required
- Participate in training programs and maintain AAADM certification
