Responsibilities
Draft product briefs that define objectives, strategies, and expected results
Leverage data to make informed decisions about the product's direction to align with business goals
Engage with stakeholders during visioning and concept development of the product, ensuring their input is considered, their expectations are managed, progress is reported, and concerns are addressed
Perform discovery on relevant topics to gather information for requirements, initiating or advancing analysis efforts to inform product decisions
Assess and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to align the team's work with the product strategy
Manage the product backlog, plan iterations, and elaborate on user stories to provide the development team with clear and actionable tasks
Take responsibility for the delivery of new features and updates, managing dependencies, mitigating risks, and ensuring the development team understands items in the backlog
Implement user-centric decision making by balancing user needs, IT constraints, and relationships with external partners to prioritize activities that maximize user value
Look for ways to continuously improve the product and enhance the customer’s experience through user feedback, performance data, and industry trends
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred
Certifications in Product Ownership or Management, such as Certified Scrum Master or Certified Scrum Product Owner are preferred
2+ years' experience as a Product Owner or Manager, ideally in a fast-paced, Agile development environment
Experience in the Wealth/Investment industry or experience with similar products is preferred
High digital savviness and comfort with a range of software, including MS Office Suite, SQL/Oracle database, Power BI, Smartsheet, Azure DevOPS, Google Analytics, MIRO, and Figma
In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles and experience with prioritization methods like Value vs Effort and RICE
Creative thinker with a vision and ability to conceptualize innovative solutions and features
Outstanding communication, presentation, and leadership skills and the ability to clearly articulate product vision and strategy
Fluent communication skills in English are required and bilingual skills in French are an asset
Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong collaboration and experience working with cross-functional teams
Understanding of end-to-end customer experience integration and dependencies
