About the role

  • Project Manager leading and managing projects from initiation to completion at Aviva Canada. Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver quality outcomes on time and budget.

Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive project plans including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams (internal and external) and ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Identify project risks, propose mitigation strategies, and proactively resolve issues.
  • Maintain open communication with stakeholders, providing consistent progress updates and reporting.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet established quality standards and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and control project expenditures, adjusting plans as needed to remain on budget.
  • Manage scope changes and ensure alignment with original project goals.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, vendors, and partners to facilitate collaboration and project success.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation such as plans, schedules, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Identify obstacles and implement solutions to keep the project on track.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager or in a similar role, with a strong record of delivering projects on time and on budget.
  • Excellent leadership capabilities and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools and software.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is considered an asset.
