Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety protocols and lead by example
  • Develop effective project execution strategies for engineering, design, fabrication, and field commissioning activities
  • Lead the development of high-level plans and detailed schedules for projects
  • Manage various aspects of the project, including engineering, design, supply chain, fabrication, and subcontractors
  • Take ownership of overall project budgets, closely monitoring expenses
  • Manage the project schedule and timeline, tracking deliverables
  • Maintain constant communication and coordination with clients
  • Travel to project sites as required
  • Manage documentation processes, ensuring adherence to standards
  • Lead quality assurance efforts, implementing rigorous checks
  • Provide detailed updates and reports, identifying deviations or risks
  • Evaluate and assess project results, reporting findings to management and clients
  • Provide leadership in risk management and conflict resolution
  • Apply critical thinking and lead teams in problem-solving efforts
  • Support proposal development by providing input for estimates

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant project experience
  • Experience in the municipal or industrial water treatment sectors
  • Solid technical understanding of various industrial processes and related mechanical equipment
  • Experience working with relevant project management and/or ERP software packages
  • Completion of an Engineering degree/diploma or other Technical Post-Secondary Program would be an asset
  • Certification in project management (e.g. PMP, PMI, MBA) or equivalent would be an advantage
