About the role
- Vice President leading cloud, infrastructure, workplace, service management, and disaster recovery operations. Modernizing technology for BCI, one of Canada’s largest institutional investment managers.
Responsibilities
- Oversee cloud and infrastructure services and systems
- Oversee digital workplace services and systems
- Lead Service Desk and service management
- Oversee disaster recovery
- Shape and evolve BCI’s future-state technology platform
- Assess the external operational environment, current performance, and future trends
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement
- Provide senior technical advisory services to the CTO
- Report to the SVP, Technology & Innovation and CTO
- Lead a team of approximately 32 people
Requirements
- Leadership experience managing large technology teams
- Experience in a technology-forward, entrepreneurial environment such as fintech, technology-enabled services, or complex organizations
- Transformational and technically credible technology leadership
- Strategic vision and sufficient technical depth to challenge assumptions
- Experience leading change in a stable environment
- Knowledge of cloud-native capabilities, AI-enabled services, automation, and modern engineering practices
- Ability to assess operational performance and future technology trends
- Ability to provide senior technical advisory services
- Legally authorized to work in the country where the job is located
