About the role
- Vice President of Engineering leading software, DevOps, data, and AI strategy. Scaling Treasury Prime’s embedded-finance platform serving banks and fintechs.
Responsibilities
- Lead software engineering, DevOps, and data, serving on the executive team and reporting to the CEO
- Own how Treasury Prime builds, ships, and runs its banking and fintech platform
- Coach and grow engineers, DevOps, data, and the engineering manager
- Establish operating rhythms and standards, and build depth in DevOps and on-call
- Partner with Automation & Operations on ownership of security, IT, and DevOps
- Build trusted relationships with bank, fintech, and product partners
- Connect engineering strategy to company goals and customer outcomes
- Improve planning, prioritization, quality, and delivery predictability
- Keep customer problems central through call reviews, implementation work, and customer-facing collaboration
- Shape AI direction with the CEO and VP of Product; identify and measure AI applications in regulated financial workflows
- Contribute to company strategy and partner across Revenue, Client Services, Implementations, Compliance, and Operations
- Guide architecture, own reliability and incident response, and lead engineering's role in SOC 2, PCI, and bank partner security reviews
Requirements
- 7+ years in software engineering, including 3+ years leading engineering organizations through managers
- Head of engineering experience (VP, Head of, or similar) with a seat on an executive or senior leadership team
- Strong technical foundation in backend systems, APIs, and distributed architecture
- Experience leading DevOps or infrastructure and data teams on AWS
- Track record of building teams people want to join and stay on, and leading them through constant change and innovation
- Hands-on experience leading a team through AI adoption
- Comfort engaging with a founder-CEO's vision, debating it, pushing back with evidence, and turning it into something a team can build
- Strong cross-functional partnerships, especially with sales and customer success
- Experience in a regulated or security-sensitive industry such as fintech, payments, or banking
- Comfort in a small, fast-moving company where leaders are strategic and hands-on
