About the role

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison with the Group Insurance business function within the Vice President, Artificial Intelligence and Data organization
  • Provide strategic advice and influence to senior leadership
  • Contribute to strategic discussions aimed at maximizing the value of artificial intelligence and data initiatives
  • Foster stakeholder alignment and drive initiatives forward
  • Translate complex business needs into concrete value-creation opportunities
  • Leverage the Vice President organization’s expertise and present clear recommendations to decision-making bodies
  • Provide strategic advice on large-scale initiatives
  • Align contributors and facilitate collaboration between the AI & Data organization and the business sector
  • Ensure cross-functional consistency among the sector’s AI and data priorities
  • Coordinate and maintain an enterprise-wide view of the sector’s priorities
  • Advise and support the sector in developing maturity and autonomy within the federated hub-and-spoke model
  • Promote the AI & Data organization’s activities and services within the sector
  • Participate in various internal committees, including some composed of senior leaders, as a representative of the AI & Data organization
  • Develop an understanding of the sector’s business realities, data, artificial intelligence, governance, and insurance-industry expertise
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and propose new approaches

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, data science, strategy, or a related field
  • Have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in roles related to data, analytics, artificial intelligence, and data governance
  • Have a basic understanding of the insurance industry, particularly the group insurance sector
  • Advanced proficiency in French, both spoken and written
  • Intermediate proficiency in English, both spoken and written
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, establish priorities, and make well-informed recommendations
  • Excellent synthesis and executive communication skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain formal and informal networks of influence
