About the role

  • AI products lead building GenAI-powered communications surveillance and compliance products at RBC Capital Markets. Leading full-stack engineering, AI agents, and production delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead full-stack development of AI-powered products across front-end, back-end, and AI/ML components
  • Own architecture, implementation, testing, troubleshooting, production deployment, and iteration
  • Architect and implement AI/ML solutions using LLM integration, AI agents, prompt engineering, RAG, and intelligent automation
  • Design systems for alert generation, anomaly detection, and investigative analysis in communications surveillance
  • Use Copilot, GenAI assistants, and AI-powered development aids to accelerate delivery velocity
  • Collaborate with surveillance stakeholders, compliance, product owners, and data engineering to define roadmaps and gather requirements
  • Mentor developers in AI-augmented practices through coaching, code reviews, and knowledge transfer
  • Evaluate emerging AI/ML technologies and frameworks and create proof-of-concept implementations
  • Provide technical leadership in ambiguous situations and guide delivery on schedule
  • Build relationships with internal teams and external partners and contribute to enterprise AI strategy

Requirements

  • Strong proficiency in Python, with experience in JavaScript/TypeScript and Java
  • Deep knowledge of back-end frameworks including Node.js, Spring Boot, FastAPI, or Django
  • Working knowledge of modern front-end frameworks including React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Practical experience integrating LLMs, NLP, prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, and AI agent frameworks into production systems
  • Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools such as Copilot and GenAI coding assistants
  • Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure-as-code
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and NoSQL databases
  • Familiarity with Kafka, Kinesis, Airflow, and Spark
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code quality tooling, and production monitoring
  • Experience building AI agents or agentic workflows in enterprise or regulated environments
  • Proven ability to lead teams, set technical direction, establish coding standards, and grow junior and intermediate developers
  • Experience in agile environments collaborating with product owners, business analysts, and cross-functional teams
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into business language, present roadmaps, and influence technology strategy with senior leadership
  • Comfort in ambiguous environments with evolving requirements; willingness to prototype rapidly and iterate toward production-quality solutions
