About the role

  • Software Development Manager leading AI-forward engineering teams at Benevity, a corporate social-impact technology company. Driving SaaS delivery, cloud development, team growth, and release adoption.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple teams in the AI-DLC process and champion AI-forward ways of working
  • Deliver software solutions across DevX/SDLC and core business work
  • Own delivery outcomes, set commitments, track progress and follow through
  • Recruit, manage performance, build team culture and engagement, and control budgets and costs
  • Develop and coach team leads and senior engineers
  • Reallocate people and capacity as priorities shift and escalate resourcing issues
  • Lead internal adoption and enablement of releases with Product, Support and Customer Success
  • Guide technology decisions balancing business, engineering and architecture objectives
  • Coordinate prioritization and scheduling with product management
  • Report weekly and monthly team execution and release-adoption performance measures
  • Use AI tooling for planning, reporting, analysis and communication
  • Ensure engineering-led innovation and passion-and-innovation projects reach completion

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with agentic and AI-assisted software development
  • Experience using AI tooling to scale leadership work
  • Successful track record leading multiple engineering teams working with cloud-based technologies
  • End-to-end SaaS product development experience at scale in enterprise environments
  • Strong delivery mindset and accountability across competing priorities
  • Track record driving internal adoption and enablement of new tools, platforms or releases
  • Comfort leading teams across DevX/SDLC and product-facing work, and shifting capacity between them
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including with non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to multitask and reprioritize
  • Experience developing people, building team culture and engagement, and building technology teams in high-growth companies
  • Technical knowledge at code level to validate assumptions and guide technology decisions
  • Empathy, positivity and self-awareness
  • Adaptability in development methodologies
  • Curiosity about latest technologies and best practices
