About the role
- Senior Software Development Manager leading Verily Health's AI infrastructure and tooling teams. Building model-serving, evaluation, and monitoring platforms for precision-health products.
Responsibilities
- Build, grow, and manage a high-performing team of 8–10 software developers across multiple squads
- Own the delivery of Verily's model and agent serving infrastructure
- Own the delivery of Verily's evaluation and monitoring toolkit
- Drive project planning, resource allocation, and technical roadmaps in partnership with Data Science and Product
- Partner with teams developing and launching models and agents to turn pain points into self-service platform capabilities
Requirements
- Proven track record of building and operating ML/AI platforms, spanning model and agent serving and evaluation, with strong self-service adoption
- 8+ years of experience in software, data, cloud, or ML development roles
- 3+ years of people management experience leading software or ML development teams
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience managing multiple teams simultaneously, directly or through technical leads, including planning, prioritization, and delivery across squads
- Deep understanding of MLOps and responsible AI, including governance and evaluation frameworks for LLM-based models and agents
- Relevant experience in healthcare or life sciences, with emphasis on standards like HL7 FHIR
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP or AWS, Kubernetes, and modern CI/CD practices
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive alignment across software development, product, and data science teams
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
