About the role

  • Design and deliver intuitive, player-focused UX for Dead by Daylight. Lead UX from research and prototyping through to final interaction design, advocating for the player.

Responsibilities

  • Design intuitive, accessible, and emotionally engaging player experiences, working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams;
  • Create UX solutions that balance player needs, product goals, and technical constraints;
  • Lead end-to-end UX from concept to delivery: player journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and fully realized interaction designs;
  • Advocate for the player perspective to ensure every feature enhances satisfaction, clarity, and enjoyment;
  • Turn user research and playtest feedback into targeted, high-impact design improvements;
  • Elevate the team’s UX maturity by promoting best practices, principles, and high-quality standards.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a UX designer in video games (experience with a game engine is a plus);
  • Excellent understanding of player-centered UX and player behavior;
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail;
  • Clear communicator, comfortable working in team environments;
  • Creative, curious, and passionate about video games;
  • Comfortable with tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, and the Adobe Suite; motion design skills are an asset.
