About the role

  • Field Operations Specialist improving BinSentry’s AI-powered agricultural sensor fleet, inventory accuracy, and operational workflows. Collaborating across operations, customer success, product, and engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Own recurring fleet-quality reviews using operational data and automated monitoring tools
  • Investigate equipment performance, installation, configuration, data-quality, and operating-condition issues
  • Document findings, track next steps, and escalate issues to appropriate teams
  • Review customer inventory comparisons and validation tests
  • Compare BinSentry results with inventory movements, weight records, inventory reports, automation data, and manual measurements
  • Distinguish system-performance issues from configuration, operating-condition, or reference-information differences
  • Summarize results, confidence levels, contributing factors, and recommended actions
  • Maintain searchable records of fleet-quality reviews and accuracy tests
  • Validate bin, site, sensor, installation, and survey information
  • Correct or flag missing, inconsistent, or conflicting information
  • Turn manual or loosely defined tasks into documented, repeatable workflows
  • Use APIs, structured data, dashboards, automation platforms, and AI-enabled tools to improve efficiency while maintaining human quality control
  • Partner with Product and Engineering on internal software or data-access improvements

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in operations, quality assurance, data analysis, technical support, inventory management, or a similar analytical environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy
  • Clear written communication, including the ability to turn detailed investigations into concise conclusions and recommended next steps
  • Strong organizational and collaboration skills
  • Confidence working with numerical data, spreadsheets, dashboards, and internal software
  • Willingness to learn tools that improve and automate recurring work
  • Ability to work in the Kitchener office most days of the week
  • Preferred: experience with IoT devices, hardware-enabled software, fleet monitoring, industrial technology, or technical operations
  • Preferred: experience using APIs, structured data, SQL, scripting, automation platforms, business-intelligence tools, or AI-enabled tools
  • Preferred: experience in agriculture, feed or grain operations, inventory management, or another industrial environment
