About the role

  • Air import operations coordinator managing end-to-end shipments for DSV, a global transport and logistics company. Coordinating carriers, customers, documentation, compliance, costs, and delivery performance.

Responsibilities

  • Process all air-import shipments from start to finish
  • Coordinate shipment movement and monitor shipments in transit
  • Ensure compliance with DSV policies and government regulations
  • Serve as the primary customer contact and provide high-quality customer service
  • Manage and coordinate shipments daily
  • Establish schedules with carriers and tender shipments
  • Create and coordinate country-specific documents
  • Track and trace shipments
  • Prepare and publish reports as requested
  • Identify problems proactively and implement appropriate solutions
  • Confirm rates with carriers
  • Contain shipment costs through the accounting system
  • Evaluate shipments, consolidate loads, and select cost-effective pickup and delivery methods
  • Ensure DSV KPIs are met throughout shipment movement
  • Perform lane analysis to select the appropriate transport mode
  • Communicate with customers regarding issues and resolutions
  • Manage new account implementation from standard operating procedure through execution
  • Support ISO 9001 and ISO 45001 commitments at the Montreal location
  • Support quality, health, safety, environmental, and sustainability objectives

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years international transportation industry experience or education in supply chain logistics, international transportation, or a related field of study
  • CIFFA certificate, an asset
  • Dangerous Goods Certification, an asset
  • Authorized Cargo Representative (ACR) designated status, as required
  • GDP Training, if required
  • Good command, both verbal and written, of English
  • Proficiency in French required for local communication
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a diverse multicultural environment
  • Microsoft Office suite
  • CargoWise experience, an asset
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task, plan, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Prolonged periods sitting and standing at a desk and working on a computer
  • Regular working hours apply; working beyond these hours may be required by business needs
