About the role

  • Field Nurse Case Manager coordinating patient treatment journeys and prescription coverage. Supporting BioScript Solutions’ specialty-care programs through insurers, clinics, pharmacies, and providers.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the entire patient treatment journey
  • Act as the primary point of contact for physicians enrolling patients in NavieGo managed programs
  • Establish and maintain relationships with assigned clinics and physicians, including site visits
  • Request missing or additional information from physician offices, pharmacies, and healthcare providers
  • Coordinate and manage requirements for obtaining prescription drug coverage
  • Coordinate cases with insurance companies, physician offices, and healthcare professionals
  • Prepare and coordinate documents, submissions, and paperwork for insurers and public funding programs
  • Coordinate clinic appointments and drug deliveries within required timelines
  • Build relationships with patients and key healthcare providers
  • Implement best practices to maximize patient access to drug coverage
  • Coordinate pharmacy processes after funding is obtained
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of public and private funding systems
  • Travel occasionally for on-site clinic visits

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) designation and current provincial licensing required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in customer/client service and healthcare reimbursement
  • Experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, or insurance industry is an asset
  • Bilingualism in English and French is required
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft and Google applications, including Google Apps, Word, and Excel
  • Professional, courteous, and efficient telephone manner
  • Ability to organize time, set priorities, and multitask to meet competing deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work rotating Monday-to-Friday shifts supporting various regions of Canada
