About the role
- Senior Data Analyst at BMO analyzing collection trends and optimizing performance through advanced analytics. Collaborating with teams to drive data-driven decision-making in collections strategies.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and visualize trends across the end-to-end collections process to identify performance gaps, emerging risks, and opportunities
- Evaluate third-party agency performance and uncover optimization opportunities in assignment strategies
- Support the design and refinement of employee incentive programs to drive desired performance outcomes
- Develop dashboards and reporting (e.g., Power BI) to provide actionable insights to stakeholders
- Partner with operations, strategy, and risk teams to translate analytical findings into business actions
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve collections efficiency, effectiveness, and overall portfolio performance
- Documents data flow, systems and processes to improve the design, implementation and management of business/group processes.
- Develops tools and delivers training programs for use of reporting tools and self-serve analytics by non-analytical end users; may include delivery of training to audiences.
- Take measured risks while protecting the bank by applying our Risk Management Framework in the execution of your role.
Requirements
- 1 years of relevant experience in analytics
- post-secondary degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in statistical and analytical tools such as SAS, SQL, and Python
- Experience developing Power BI dashboards strongly preferred
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate complex analytical insights into clear, actionable recommendations for a broad audience.
