About the role

  • Trust Associate serving Indigenous Trust clients at BMO, a Canadian bank. Managing Trust accounts, compliance, client relationships, and administrative support remotely across eligible Canadian locations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality sales and service to Indigenous Trust clients
  • Manage and administer Trust accounts and ensure compliance
  • Work collaboratively within the branch and regional team
  • Identify and make referrals to other business groups
  • Prepare new business proposals or client/prospect presentations
  • Develop, maintain, and service client relationships
  • Identify improvements to support client experiences
  • Maintain knowledge of integrated services, Trust products, and procedures
  • Coordinate strategic initiative activities and track metrics and milestones
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and ensure alignment
  • Monitor and track performance and address issues
  • Set up and maintain Trust accounts within compliance time frames
  • Support audits and compliance reviews
  • Identify and escalate irregularities and discrepancies
  • Provide sales and service support activities
  • Provide administrative support including financial reports, asset and account reconciliation, compliance, fee collection, documentation, and administration decisions
  • Meet service standards to maximize relationship retention and growth
  • Build client rapport, credibility, and trust
  • Follow risk and compliance processes to safeguard customer assets and privacy
  • Protect the Bank’s assets and comply with applicable requirements

Requirements

  • Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Post-secondary degree in a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Knowledge of Trust products and services
  • Trust industry experience
  • Trust accreditation preferred
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience
  • In-depth verbal and written communication skills
  • In-depth collaboration and team skills
  • In-depth analytical and problem-solving skills
  • In-depth influence skills
  • Ability to comply with risk management, regulatory, legal, and ethical requirements
