- Engagement Manager leading enterprise cloud consulting programs for OpsGuru, a digital transformation engineering group. Managing delivery, finances, executive stakeholders, and account growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of interconnected projects and large, multi-year programs for strategic enterprise clients
- Manage project dependencies, resource allocation, and unified communication across multiple projects
- Establish stakeholder relationships and provide strategic guidance and project updates
- Manage executive expectations and act as a trusted advisor
- Oversee engagement financial health, including budgets, revenue forecasting, profitability, and financial reporting
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment
- Define schedules, scopes, budget estimates, and implementation plans
- Coordinate internal and external resources to keep projects within scope, schedule, and budget
- Analyze project progress and adapt scope, timelines, and costs as needed
- Manage competing stakeholder priorities through negotiation and conflict resolution
- Establish scalable project management practices, quality standards, and performance standards
- Assess and manage risks across projects and programs
- Monitor resource needs and allocations
- Serve as Senior Engagement Manager on strategic engagements and guide project teams
- Manage scope, schedules, budgets, change orders, risks, and delivery KPIs
- Report project outcomes and risks through appropriate management channels and escalate issues as necessary
- Collaborate with sales to identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities
- Lead clients through organizational changes associated with enterprise-level projects
- Improve delivery processes for efficiency, quality, and scalability
Requirements
- 7+ years of project and program management experience in a professional services or consulting environment
- Experience with enterprise-level projects greater than $1M
- Proven track record managing a portfolio of projects for enterprise clients
- Expertise in enterprise/ISV project delivery finances, including P&L responsibility, budget forecasting, and reporting
- Exceptional executive communication and presentation skills, including presenting to C-suite and senior stakeholders
- Advanced problem-solving, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
- Strong ownership and accountability
- Experience with project management software such as JIRA and Confluence
- Knowledge of program governance best practices
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities
- Experience with escalation management and proactive guardrails for delivery quality, budget, and timelines
- Understanding of cloud-native technologies, ideally AWS, data processing, and/or analytics
- Proven success in a change management role within a large organization
- Demonstrated business development experience, including identifying and driving new opportunities within a client base
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred
- Professional certification such as PMP, PgMP, CSM, or other relevant certification is preferred
