About the role

  • Course Instructor engaging Teacher Candidates in reflective practice and collaboration. Delivering lectures and providing support during practicum within the Faculty of Education at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Responsibilities

  • Engage Teacher Candidates in ongoing professional reflective practice, inquiry, and collaboration
  • Share questions and reflections from professional practice with Teacher Candidates
  • Conduct virtual check-ins during scheduled practicum
  • Liaise with the Placement Officer to resolve practicum-related issues
  • Work with course lead and/or team to provide consistency across sections

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Education
  • Bachelor of Education
  • K – 10 teaching experience
  • Significant supervisory experience as an administrator with teachers in Ontario schools or in teacher education
  • Principals’ Qualifications and supervisory experience
  • Teaching experience in a post secondary context
  • French as a Second Language (FSL) teaching experience is desirable
