About the role
- Field and infusion nurse administering medications and educating patients in homes and specialty clinics. Supporting Cencora’s healthcare and pharmaceutical program operations across Quebec.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications in patients’ homes, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings
- Assess and monitor patients before and after injection and infusion treatments in accordance with program protocols
- Complete documentation in accordance with policies, procedures, College of Nurses requirements, and Innomar ISO accreditation standards
- Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints
- Maintain reliable availability to meet IBU, nursing, and clinic performance needs
- Coordinate with case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling, and other departments to schedule appointments and treatments
- Communicate with patients and caregivers to arrange appointments and medication delivery
- Participate in web-based team meetings, training sessions, and specialized client-related training
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and Innomar policies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams and provide oversight and delegation to RPN/LPN staff
- Travel within the designated IBU and surrounding IBUs as required
- Follow nursing, clinic, health, and safety standard operating procedures
- Complete ongoing and annual education and training
- May be required to be on standby or on call
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- Qualified Registered Nurse with current registration in good standing with the applicable provincial nursing regulatory body
- Current CPR certification for healthcare providers required
- At least three years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- At least one year of experience initiating IV therapy
- Experience in a critical care, emergency, acute-care inpatient/outpatient, or home-care setting
- ACLS, PALS, MS, and CVAA certifications, as well as experience with central venous lines and ports, are considered assets
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook (email), MS Word, and other applicable computer programs
- Access to an internet connection, home computer, printer, fax machine, and mobile phone
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision as part of a larger team
- Ability to travel to clinics and home-care appointments within a defined geographic area
- Advanced knowledge of the pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset
