About the role
- Field and infusion nurse administering specialty medications in homes and clinics for Cencora. Coordinating patient education, treatments, documentation, and multidisciplinary care.
Responsibilities
- Administer medications in patients’ homes, specialty clinics, and Physician Partnership clinic settings
- Assess and monitor pre- and post-injection/infusion treatments according to program protocols
- Complete required documentation according to policies, procedures, College of Nurses requirements, and Innomar ISO standards
- Provide patient and caregiver education based on product monographs and program protocols
- Report adverse events, serious adverse events, and product complaints
- Provide reliable availability to meet nursing and clinic operational needs and performance indicators
- Coordinate with case managers, physicians, pharmacy, scheduling, patients, caregivers, and other departments regarding appointments, treatments, and drug delivery
- Participate in web-based team meetings, training sessions, and specialized client-related training
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and Innomar policies
- Work within multidisciplinary healthcare teams and provide oversight and delegation to RPN/LPN staff as authorized
- Travel within the designated IBU and surrounding IBUs
- Follow nursing, clinic, health and safety standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Complete ongoing and annual education training
- May be required to be on standby/on call
- Perform other related duties as required
Requirements
- Infirmière autorisée qualifiée avec un permis valide de l’Ordre provincial des infirmiers et infirmières / Current registration with licensing body
- Certificat de RCR de prestataire de soins de santé requis / CPR certificate
- Au moins trois années d’expérience comme infirmière autorisée
- 1 year experience IV initiation experience
- Un an d’expérience de l’administration d’intraveineuses et de perfusion
- Experience in a critical care, emergency, acute care inpatient/outpatient or homecare setting
- ACLS, PALs, MS and CVAA Certification, and central venous lines/port experience are considered assets
- Proficient in MS Excel, Outlook (e-mail), MS Word, PowerPoint and other applicable computer programs
- Access to a home computer with internet connection, printer, fax machine, and cell phone
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Able to work autonomously with little supervision as part of a larger remote team
- Able to travel to clinics and homecare appointments within a set geographical boundary
- Advanced knowledge of pharmaceutical distribution industry is an asset
