About the role
- Associate Analytics Engineer building governed, tested data models and pipelines for CircleCI, the world’s largest CI/CD platform. Supporting business users, downstream systems, and AI-powered workflows through reliable analytics engineering.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data models and pipelines delivering well-defined, tested, and documented data
- Contribute to data quality standards, model documentation, and column-level lineage across dbt projects
- Support pushing data into business operating systems and AI-powered workflows
- Learn and apply best practices for source-of-truth models, metric definitions, and data grain
- Use AI to automate analytics engineering processes, reduce toil, and build new data capabilities
- Partner with data platform engineers to ensure pipelines and data models run reliably in production
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into governed, reusable data assets
Requirements
- 1–2 years as an analytics engineer, data analyst, or related technical role
- Foundational SQL skills
- Some exposure to dbt or a modern data stack
- Curiosity about using AI to automate processes and build new capabilities
- Some familiarity with Python
- Basic understanding of schema design and data pipeline concepts
- Interest in translating business needs into reliable data
- Ability to write clear, unambiguous definitions and documentation
- Must be able to work Eastern Time hours for on-call data systems coverage
- Curiosity, bias toward action, and entrepreneurial approach
- Ability to translate between technical and business audiences
- Receptiveness to feedback and comfort questioning assumptions
- Structured planning and ability to balance learning with delivery

- Base pay range of $100,000–$125,250 USD for the United States
- Base pay range of $98,000–$122,750 CAD for Canada
