About the role
- Contract legal document reviewer analyzing high-volume professional-liability litigation files for Clyde & Co. Drafting memoranda, extracting key documents, and supporting discovery preparation.
Responsibilities
- Reviewing and analyzing a high volume of documents and email exchanges between parties to professional liability litigation, as well as clients’ files
- Drafting memoranda on the matters reviewed
- Supporting the preparation of examinations for discovery
- Identifying and extracting key information and documents
- Attending regular team meetings to report on progress and provide guidance on next steps
- Participating in and supporting the development of case strategies
Requirements
- Civil law degree from a recognized university
- Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
- 1 to 5 years of relevant litigation experience
- Bilingualism in French and English required
- Ability to analyze, summarize, and extract relevant legal issues
- Excellent judgment and legal reasoning skills
- Rigor and attention to detail
- Diligence
- Team-oriented and collaborative mindset
- Knowledge of Relativity, Nextpoint, or another document review platform is an asset
- Ability to work in a context requiring the appropriate use of English
- Minimum intermediate level of oral and written English proficiency
