About the role

  • Contract legal document reviewer analyzing high-volume professional-liability litigation files for Clyde & Co. Drafting memoranda, extracting key documents, and supporting discovery preparation.

Responsibilities

  • Reviewing and analyzing a high volume of documents and email exchanges between parties to professional liability litigation, as well as clients’ files
  • Drafting memoranda on the matters reviewed
  • Supporting the preparation of examinations for discovery
  • Identifying and extracting key information and documents
  • Attending regular team meetings to report on progress and provide guidance on next steps
  • Participating in and supporting the development of case strategies

Requirements

  • Civil law degree from a recognized university
  • Member in good standing of the Barreau du Québec
  • 1 to 5 years of relevant litigation experience
  • Bilingualism in French and English required
  • Ability to analyze, summarize, and extract relevant legal issues
  • Excellent judgment and legal reasoning skills
  • Rigor and attention to detail
  • Diligence
  • Team-oriented and collaborative mindset
  • Knowledge of Relativity, Nextpoint, or another document review platform is an asset
  • Ability to work in a context requiring the appropriate use of English
  • Minimum intermediate level of oral and written English proficiency
