About the role

  • Global Public Policy Manager shaping compute, infrastructure, export-control, and sovereign AI policy. Cohere builds security-first enterprise AI models and products.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze developments related to AI infrastructure, data centers, energy policy, semiconductor policy, export controls, and national AI strategies
  • Develop policy positions on sovereign AI, compute access, digital sovereignty, and AI competitiveness
  • Support engagement with governments developing AI infrastructure investment programs and national AI initiatives
  • Collaborate with commercial, product, and corporate development teams on strategic opportunities involving public-private partnerships
  • Represent Cohere in policy discussions related to AI infrastructure, energy requirements, and technology competitiveness
  • Produce policy analysis and thought leadership on AI infrastructure and sovereign AI trends

Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in public policy, technology policy, trade policy, energy policy, national security policy, or related fields
  • Strong understanding of geopolitical technology issues, AI infrastructure, export controls, or digital sovereignty
  • Ability to assess emerging policy developments and identify strategic business implications
  • Excellent analytical and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Preferred: experience working on semiconductors, cloud infrastructure, energy policy, telecommunications, or national competitiveness issues
  • Preferred: familiarity with government AI investment programs and international technology policy
