About the role

  • Senior technical content writer creating practitioner-focused Databricks and Snowflake cost-management content for DoiT, a cloud intelligence company. Producing ebooks, guides, blogs, and webinars for data engineering and FinOps audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Research, outline, draft, and revise comprehensive guides on Databricks and Snowflake cost management topics
  • Structure complex technical material for data engineering and analytics practitioners
  • Own the full revision cycle incorporating internal SME and external technical reviewer feedback
  • Produce at least two technical blog posts per month on Databricks and Snowflake cost and query optimization
  • Write from observed patterns and specific data rather than marketing assertions
  • Adapt long-form assets into blog posts or develop standalone pieces tied to releases, updates, or practitioner pain points
  • Develop research outlines, speaker scripts, and slide frameworks for live and on-demand webinars
  • Collaborate with internal engineers and external practitioners on webinar structure
  • Extend content coverage to Snowflake and BigQuery as the program grows
  • Run workstreams independently from research through publish-ready draft and integrate into collaborative reviews

Requirements

  • 5 to 8 years of technical content experience
  • Portfolio demonstrating depth in data engineering, cloud infrastructure, or adjacent fields
  • Demonstrated ability to write for Databricks and Snowflake practitioners, including data engineers, analytics engineers, platform engineers, or FinOps specialists
  • Hands-on familiarity with Databricks and Snowflake, including cluster configuration, job compute, and cost levers
  • Experience creating ebooks and long-form guides with strong structure and pacing
  • Ability to operate at senior level, drive workstreams, set a research agenda, and proactively flag accuracy issues
  • Strong editorial judgment
  • Direct BigQuery or other cloud data warehouse/lakehouse writing experience preferred
  • Familiarity with FinOps concepts applied to data infrastructure preferred
  • Webinar script or technical presentation writing experience preferred
  • Practitioner background transitioned into technical writing preferred
  • Ability to accommodate United States working hours and overlap with ET–PT business hours
