About the role
- Join ELITS Canada as a Ceph Engineer/Developer optimizing cloud infrastructure. Collaborate with experienced engineers to evolve OpenStack-based platforms in a remote work environment.
Responsibilities
- Deep-dive into Ceph code and architecture to optimize performance
- Profile, benchmark, and troubleshoot performance issues
- Lead internal knowledge development and mentorship
- Actively contribute upstream to the Ceph project
- Develop and maintain internal build pipelines
- Partner with Platform Operations to enhance observability
- Collaborate with other squads to evolve Ceph capabilities
Requirements
- Proven track record operating Ceph at scale
- Strong C++ development experience
- In-depth knowledge of performance tuning
- Solid understanding of Linux systems engineering
- Proficiency with Ansible and Python
- Hands-on experience with performance analysis tools
- Familiarity with Go is an asset
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
