Responsibilities
Manage planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including market analysis, requirements gathering, ideation, decision-making, software development, and go-to-market readiness
Define product vision, strategy, and roadmap for owned Fire and EMS domains
Own, prioritize, and maintain product backlogs across assigned teams or domains
Communicate product vision, proposed features, and business value
Use rapid prototyping tools such as Magic Patterns to validate desirability and usability
Use AI tools to draft and refine user stories, acceptance criteria, requirements, sprint summaries, release notes, stakeholder updates, and communications
Triage customer requests, bugs, and enhancement ideas using AI, routing and reprioritizing by business value and dependencies
Engage Sales, Support, Customer Success, Onboarding, executives, customers, agencies, and departments to gather requirements and manage trade-offs
Prioritize initiatives based on NERIS, NEMSIS, state and local compliance, customer needs, sales drivers, and technology changes
Own customer-feedback intake through Pendo to optimize NPS and PES
Surface cross-team dependencies and sequencing conflicts
Work with product design and engineering to assess viability, feasibility, and desirability
Participate in Scrum ceremonies across owned teams
Partner with TPMs, Engineering, and Product Managers to align portfolio priorities
Manage releases, including new features, incremental features, architectural improvements, and technical debt
Work with system architects on infrastructure decisions and sequencing
Create enablement documentation and playbooks
Escalate unresolved trade-offs to product leadership with recommendations
Contribute to retrospectives and evaluate return on investment
Provide support and coaching to managers
Plan and execute adoption of ESO development methodology and tools including Jira, Confluence, and Teams
Requirements
Five or more years of experience in product management, product ownership, or a similar backlog-ownership role, including experience across more than one team or domain
Experience in product management at a fast-growing software company
Proficient and experienced using AI to optimize day-to-day work and build AI-first product solutions
Hands-on experience using AI tools such as Claude, Magic Patterns, or similar platforms for drafting requirements, building functional prototypes, synthesizing feedback, or generating status communications
Strong judgment for reviewing and correcting AI-generated content
Working knowledge of Agile and Scrum practices, including backlog refinement, story writing, and sprint ceremonies
Strong track record monitoring success via outcomes and metrics
Significant experience defining and launching features that meet customer and business needs
Demonstrated strategic planning and operational execution skills, including process improvement
Experience mentoring and developing junior talent
Clear written and verbal communication across technical and non-technical audiences
Certification such as CSPO, PSPO, or SAFe PO/PM is an optional qualification
Experience owning backlogs in a regulated or safety-critical domain such as EMS, fire, or hospital care is an optional qualification
Familiarity with prehospital or fire service data standards such as NEMSIS or NFIRS is an optional qualification
Experience building or refining prompts, workflows, or lightweight tools that improve team use of AI is an optional qualification
