About the role

  • Head of Product owning Mercury’s business banking strategy, product portfolio, and P&L. Leading product teams while scaling payments, deposits, AI experiences, and financial infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Own the P&L, strategy, and product offering across accounts, user experience, payments, new rails, and agents
  • Build AI- and data-driven user experiences at scale
  • Recruit and lead a high-performing product-management team
  • Establish build discipline, develop future leaders, and set operating cadence and culture
  • Deepen the core account and scale new 0-1 products, rails, capabilities, and agents
  • Own uptime, correctness, latency, and support outcomes
  • Align product, engineering, design, data, risk, compliance, legal, marketing, sales, support, and partners behind one strategy
  • Drive deposit and payment growth and own business performance

Requirements

  • 10+ years' experience, ideally in banking, payments, platforms, or financial products
  • 5+ years leading product managers, including hiring, coaching, org design, and performance management
  • Command of business banking, including account opening and KYB, deposits and liquidity, and payment rails (ACH, wire, check, international, FedNow, RTP)
  • Experience launching and scaling 0-1 financial products, ideally in fintech or another high-growth environment
  • Experience operating a large product with real customers
  • Sound judgment in a regulated, risk-sensitive environment
  • Ability to balance a delightful experience with banking-product controls
  • Strong product leadership and commercial instinct
  • Creative, customer-centered, data-driven, experimentation-oriented approach
  • Enthusiasm for AI- and agent-powered products
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership across engineering, design, risk, compliance, finance, and partners
