About the role

  • Head of Product owning Mercury’s personal banking strategy, product organization, and business performance. Driving consumer growth, AI-led experiences, and trusted banking features.

Responsibilities

  • Own Personal Banking end-to-end, including product strategy, team leadership, growth, engagement, and business performance
  • Build a personal banking experience covering money management, banking, savings, investments, money movement, and future lending
  • Own metrics, product strategy, and customer propositions
  • Set a high product-craft bar across copy, latency, and empty states
  • Drive AI adoption where it meaningfully improves the product experience
  • Recruit and lead a high-performing product management team
  • Establish build discipline, develop future leaders, and set an operating cadence and culture focused on pace and quality
  • Own acquisition, activation, retention, and growth loops
  • Connect Personal Banking to the businesses Mercury already serves
  • Own uptime, correctness, latency, and support outcomes
  • Align product, engineering, design, data, risk, compliance, legal, marketing, support, and partners behind a cohesive strategy

Requirements

  • Built consumer products used by millions of people
  • Shipped AI-led products to real consumers
  • Customer-centered, data-driven, and experimentation-oriented approach
  • 10+ years building consumer products, including ownership of product growth and economics
  • 5+ years leading product managers, including hiring, coaching, org design, and performance management
  • Experience launching and scaling 0-1 products alongside operating a large product with real customers
  • Exceptional cross-functional leadership across engineering, design, data, risk, compliance, and partners
  • Sound judgment in a regulated environment
  • Banking, payments, or fintech experience is nice to have
  • Must be located in the United States or Canada for the applicable employee salary range
