About the role

  • Senior Accountant managing general ledger, financial close, and equity accounting for EverCommerce’s SaaS service-commerce platform. Supporting stock compensation reporting and equity administration.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities for assigned areas
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of the general ledger
  • Analyze account fluctuations and investigate variances
  • Prepare supporting schedules for financial reporting
  • Assist with annual audits and other compliance requirements
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
  • Prepare accounting entries related to stock-based compensation under ASC 718
  • Account for equity transactions including stock options, RSUs and ESPP
  • Prepare equity roll-forward schedules and supporting documentation
  • Assist with quarterly and annual financial statement disclosures related to equity compensation
  • Support external valuation specialists and auditors during reporting cycles
  • Assist with administration of the company's equity plans and equity management platform
  • Coordinate with Legal, HR, Payroll, and external service providers
  • Maintain equity award records and employee transactions
  • Support employee equity inquiries
  • Participate in special projects, acquisitions, and system/process improvements
  • Research technical accounting matters as needed
  • Support cross-functional initiatives across Finance, Payroll, HR, and Legal

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong experience with general ledger accounting
  • Strong experience with month-end close
  • Strong experience with account reconciliations
  • Strong experience with financial reporting
  • Experience accounting for stock-based compensation and equity transactions
  • Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Must be eligible to work without sponsorship
  • CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA preferred
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • IFRS knowledge is an asset
  • Experience with equity administration platforms such as Morgan Stanley ETRADE, or similar preferred
  • Experience working in a publicly traded or private equity-backed company preferred
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite preferred
