About the role

  • Product Manager ensuring data delivers maximum value to customers at Flare. Leading data engineering initiatives for cybersecurity SaaS company with focus on insights and scalability.

Responsibilities

  • As the Product Manager for the Data Engineering team, you will ensure Flare’s data delivers maximum value to customers.
  • This role is responsible for how data is ingested, processed, scored, accounted for (metrics), and searched.
  • Your mission is to align data engineering work to customer and business outcomes: maximize useful signal, reduce noise, ensure reliable data, and deliver timely insights.
  • Your primary responsibility is to prioritize and sequence data engineering initiatives so that multiple downstream product teams can build workflows and interfaces more effectively, faster, and with confidence.
  • You will work closely with the development team lead and the principal engineer who are responsible for data modeling and architecture.
  • Engineering defines how systems are built; you define why the work matters, what should be built, and when.
  • Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to turn Flare’s data engine into a competitive advantage by maximizing insights, trust, and scalability.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years of product management experience, with substantial time spent on platform, infrastructure, or data products.
  • A proven track record of product ownership where success relied on leverage and enablement.
  • Strong business acumen: you naturally frame work in terms of outcomes, ROI, and opportunity cost.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and making long-term bets.
  • Ability to influence without authority and align senior stakeholders.
  • Sufficient technical fluency to challenge assumptions and engage credibly with senior engineers.
  • Experience in cybersecurity.
  • Willingness to come into the office a few times per month, near Charlevoix station, as needed.
