About the role

  • Associate Creative Director leading art direction and digital campaigns for Funday, a Canadian full-service creative agency. Mentoring creative teams, developing concepts, delivering client work, and providing hands-on design leadership remotely.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire art directors, designers, copywriters, and other creative team members
  • Set creative vision and drive innovative, high-quality work
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director, strategists, designers, and copywriters to develop concepts for advertising, branding, digital, and social media
  • Drive creative projects including TV spots, print ads, and social campaigns
  • Maintain quality, consistency, and brand alignment across projects
  • Perform hands-on design work and provide creative solutions alongside the team
  • Present ideas to clients, receive feedback, and support client satisfaction and retention
  • Foster teamwork and mentor junior team members
  • Report to the Creative Director

Requirements

  • Portfolio demonstrating conceptual skills and innovative creative solutions, including examples of digital work
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a creative agency; digital agency experience is an asset
  • Minimum of 3–5 years in an Associate Creative Director role
  • Experience managing junior team members
  • Curiosity and passion for digital media and the latest technology trends
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks
  • Ability to balance coaching junior team members with responding to client feedback
  • Strong desire to create effective work that sells products, satisfies clients, and earns recognition
  • Willingness and ability to contribute directly to design work and provide design solutions
  • Marketing sense and interest in developing cross-channel campaigns
  • Must include a portfolio; applications without one will not be considered
  • Must live in Canada, be able to work in Canada, and be located in British Columbia, Alberta, or Ontario
