About the role

  • Creative Director leading digital-first creative across Funday’s agency accounts and teams. Setting vision, developing campaigns, and mentoring distributed creative talent across Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Lead creative output across multiple accounts, teams, and disciplines
  • Set the creative bar and shape the creative vision
  • Guide teams in executing creative vision in the work itself
  • Refine creative solutions and leverage the right people and disciplines
  • Champion digital, social, paid, and emerging platforms
  • Solve creative problems with strategy and speed
  • Use insight, culture, and technology to develop relevant, timely, and effective ideas
  • Proactively identify and act on client opportunities
  • Lead creative conversations with clients and internal teams through strategic and business lenses
  • Build trusted client relationships and deliver solutions that advance the work and business
  • Lead, mentor, and grow creative teams across multiple projects
  • Foster curiosity, collaboration, honest feedback, high standards, respect, and accountability
  • Navigate feedback, conflict, and difficult conversations
  • Support performance reviews and ongoing professional development

Requirements

  • Portfolio demonstrating conceptual excellence and digital-first thinking; portfolio required
  • 10+ years of experience in a creative agency environment
  • Digital experience strongly preferred
  • Proven experience leading multiple teams and large accounts
  • Deep understanding of storytelling across digital, social, paid, and print channels
  • Strong business and strategic thinking alongside creative craft
  • Curiosity about culture, technology, and marketing
  • Ability to turn insight into ideas
  • Confidence making decisions, challenging the status quo, and pushing work forward
  • Comfort being hands-on while leading at a high level
  • Must live in Canada and be able to work in Canada
  • Must be located in British Columbia, Alberta, or Ontario
