Service Manager III overseeing power-generation field projects for GE Vernova, which accelerates reliable, affordable, sustainable energy. Managing customer delivery, costs, safety, quality, and field execution.
Responsibilities
Develop field service outage cost estimates using standards
Plan, prepare, and manage projects from beginning to end, including schedules, costs, staffing, project setup, requirements, purchase orders, risk analysis, mitigation strategies, and performance targets
Serve as a customer interface and communicate with Customer Service Managers, CSLs, and CPMs
Review forecasts to maximize utilization and meet catalog targets
Review sub-contracts and negotiate terms and conditions
Coordinate daily with Field Service Coordinators, Resource Managers, EHS Managers, and Staff Project Managers
Lead daily project execution status calls, Day 2 calls, and OEL Day 2 spot check calls
Monitor project progress and costs with project controls support
Conduct audits and inspections during installation, commissioning, receiving, operation, and maintenance activities
Analyze and report project closeout metrics
Review revenue pacing and billing and approve supplier invoices
Manage purchase order limits, employees without POs, unbilled shipments, accounts receivable, and credit card aging
Lead shift handover review sessions
Implement corrective actions based on safety observations, advanced communication notifications, and root cause analyses
Interview candidates and assess qualifications for recruitment and hiring
Reward and recognize strong performance through site compensation/incentive processes
Ensure EHS standards and compliance with FME plans, customer requirements, and OneGE EHS plans
Preside over field execution activities of outage managers and construction managers
Support end-customer pre- and post-outage meetings
Complete requisitions for tooling and third-party vendor services
Approve technical reports and update documentation
Maintain contact with TFAs running assigned projects
Perform other duties aligned with FieldCore’s vision and organizational values
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field with minimum 5 years project management experience; 7 to 10 years applicable experience and demonstrated success/knowledge
Minimum of 5 years' experience managing and developing employees
Minimum of 5 years' experience of specialized/industry experience
Experience in power generation or technical industry can be substituted for degree and/or project management experience
English proficiency required
Previous experience as Service Manager II
Reside in greater Toronto, ON area
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills

Excellent communication skills
Ability to perform a wide variety of duties and responsibilities with accuracy and speed under the pressure of time sensitive deadlines
Legal authorization to work in Canada
Successful completion of a background investigation
Travel may be required
